Curtain Raiser Academy devotes itself to the development of an individual in all areas of acting, whether it be physical theatre, comedy or musical theatre. Anyone training at Curtain Raiser Academy is able to learn different disciplines such as Acting Skills, Mime, Musical Theatre, Public Speaking and Devised Drama. All of these disciplines can also be tested by an exam at the Academy’s own studio, in collaboration with with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) including an introductory exam for children. Lemonhead Productions are a group of amateur actors with a professional attitude based in Malta. Credits over the past two years include: Animal Farm Dec 2000, Jien Hu (on Net TV) April 2001, Don Quixote Dec 2001.
Their latest theatrical production is JIEN HU. Jien Hu is an original one-act play in Maltese written and directed by Bryan Muscat based on the last days of Christ’s life, set in today’s world. What would our lives be like if the Roman Empire, whose rule prospered over two thousand years ago, was still in power today? Imagine we were still waiting for the Messiah to bring about our salvation. How would YOU react? Watch Jien Hu on 15, 16, 17 March 2002 at the MITP (Old University), St. Christopher’s Str. Valletta at 7.30pm. Then tell the actors what went through your mind. Lemonhead Productions are open to criticism so please feel free to state your opinions on their message board.

Review It - Malta Amatuer Dramatic Club - MADC
The MADC is malta's longest serving amatuer dramatic society. It has been established since 1910 and has produced plays and musicals at a national level ever since. The Club puts up a minimum of six productions a year. These are held at various venues, such at The Manoel Theatre, The Mediterranean Conference Centre, The University Theatre, San Anton Gardens and last but not least the Clubrooms. The MADC is well known for its annual Pantomime at the Manoel Theatre and Shakespeare at San Anton Gardens.

The Malta Drama Centre is a State Institution, catering for drama training and practice at all levels. It was established in 1979 and currently forms part of the Ministry for Education, Youth and Employment. As founders of the Mellow Drama team we have both been actively involved in local drama for several years, and share, together with a rather strange sense of humour, a love for theatre and making people happy.
John Montanaro has an extremely varied theatrical background and is not afraid to dance, sing and act his way through the toughest of performances, both on the stage and on the screen. James Calvert has recently swapped his role on stage for one off it, directing several productions and winning MADC's best director award along the way.
