- AACTS - Association of Arms Collectors and Target Shooters
AACTS, the Association of Arms Collectors and Target Shooters, was founded on the 4th April 2002. The Association's main objective is the promotion of all forms of target shooting and arms collecting in the Maltese Islands. The members of AACTS specialise in Black Powder Revolver and Musket Shooting, collections of arms and militaria. AACTS is also a member of the Malta Shooting Federation.

ASSOCIATION OF MALTESE ARMS COLLECTORS & SHOOTERS (AMACS)
The Clubs:
Ø Malta Arms & Militaria Society (MAMS)
Ø Malta Muzzle-Loader Shooting Club (MMSC)
Ø Malta Airgun Shooting Club (MASC)
Ø Malta Rifle and Pistol Shooting Club (MRPSC)
Ø Malta Crossbow Shooting Club (MCSC)
AMACS Membership currently stands at around 120 which include the first female members enrolled during the current year.
Besides its affiliation with the local Gun Owners Federation of Malta (GOFM) and its membership with the Muzzle Loading Association of Great Britain (MLAGB), AMACS is now exclusively affiliated with no fewer than four established international bodies:
· Federation of European Societies of Arms Collectors (FESAC)
· World Field Target Federation (WFTF)
· International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC)
· World Crossbow Shooting Association (WCSA)
AMACS received overwhelming support in its bid to join these bodies. They commended AMACS on its success and impressive gains and some even stated that the local group’s experience was an asset to them. Further important affiliations are expected.
The Association enjoys excellent relations with the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM). AMACS shooting events and competitions are held in the outdoor shooting range at the AFM¹s Safi Barracks four times a week. At the moment these include disciplines in black-powder revolver, black powder musket, and field target air-rifle.
As soon as the new legislation is in place, a number of new disciplines involving pistol, rifle and even crossbow shall be introduced.
AMACS is currently searching for new premises of historical significance from where it can organise its activities. It is in contact with the authorities on this matter but would welcome any proposals from local councils, government authorities or even the private sector.
