The Association's main objective is the promotion of all forms of target shooting and arms collecting in the Maltese Islands. The members of AACTS specialise in Black Powder Revolver and Musket Shooting, collections of arms and militaria. AACTS is also a member of the Malta Shooting Federation.

The unit is entirely manned by unpaid volunteers and its main scope is to provide emergency assistance to the local authorities in national emergencies or when requested. E.F.R.U. embraces the principles of teamwork, excellence, honesty and integrity amongst its members to improve their quality of life and that of the persons we assist.
